Because the epidemic is widespread and global, the number of cargo ships has decreased.
In March and April 2020, there is no indication that 2020 may become a strong year for the container industry. However, the freight rate in the Pacific region is at an all-time high, and shipping companies are upgrading their expectations for the whole year of 2020. Why wait until a global epidemic, and the whole industry really starts to make money?
